OK so you have decided you want a baby, SNAP us too…now what????
Well you have a few big choices and there are a TON of answer;
I would start with AI or NI (Artificial Insemination or Natural Insemination). Natural Insemination means having sex with the donor and Artificial insemination is done more medically or at home.
Now to find a donor; You have choices here depending on what you want to pay, what is important to you etc
- You can go to a Sperm Bank, This can be costly however and can easily spiral into the thousands of dollars bracket.
- You can find an site which helps you find a free sperm donor some have fees and some don’t the following are all free just put up a post for anywhere in the world and let the replies roll in:
OK so you have got a donor you know which way your doing it now although NI is self explanatory I will go into AI a bit more.
The most popular way is the turkey baster method (no turkey baster needed) you would be wise however to get a home insemination kit for around 100 ish USD from Affordable Fertility Supplies or your local pharmacy if you need to ship sperm to you from your donor you will need a shipping kit from here

How to Inseminate
- you need the specimen jar(with semen sample in at body temprature) and the syringe.
- make sure all air is out of the syringe and then put in specimen jarand pull plunger till you have the specimen in the syringe.
- Insert syringe into yourself or your partner and SLOWLY press down on the plunger, do it quick and it gets messy.
- You may now insent a soft cup as seen here
- remain lying down for at least 30 minutes it helps to have your hips elevated and if you orgasm after insemination it will increase your chances of pregnancy.
- Then take a pregnancy test according to the instructions on the packet
