Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Alexa – My heart hurts so much, sometimes I wonder if it will ever stop

Jessie: We all hurt…

Alexa: Is that supposed to console me? Like somehow if the world hurts it will somehow ease my pain?

Jessie: Yes, it’s supposed to help you feel less alone

Alexa: *In Disbelief* We’re all alone, there is no such thing as less alone

My muscles ache, I cry, You smile

I beg you to help, i beg you to say, say that its ok

you laugh, you laugh

I know I will let go but I have to know

I want to know you loved me, i want to know you needed me

lie lie lie lie lie to me

drive it deep and make me believe

i will hold it all together another day

if you just lie lie lie lie lie i will stay

Traffic Barrel Monster

Joseph Carnevale, 21, has been arrested by the Raleigh Police Department for creating this cool traffic barrel monster. Rumor has it that this little artistic prank would have gone unpunished if it wasn’t for the fact that the police chiefs wife, Sarah Renyolds had a fender bender after spotting this and was laughing so hard she lost control of her brand new Navigator and crashed into the barrels just beyond this peice of art.

Letty’s Globe By Charles Tennyson Turner

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

I was just working on some uni work and thought I would share a great sonnet with you;

When Letty had scarce pass’d her third glad year,
And her young, artless words began to flow,
One day we gave the child a colour’d sphere
Of the wide earth, that she might mark and know,
By tint and outline, all its sea and land.
She patted all the world; old empires peep’d
Between her baby fingers; her soft hand
Was welcome at all frontiers. How she leap’d,
And laugh’d and prattled in her world-wide bliss!
But when we turn’d her sweet unlearned eye
On our own isle, she rais’d a joyous cry,
“Oh! yes, I see it! Letty’s home is there!”
And, while she hid all England with a kiss,
Bright over Europe fell her golden hair!
